Hotel, Travel, Parking and Ground Transportation HOTEL RESERVATIONSAll convention programming will be held at the official convention hotel: Hyatt Regency Houston Reservations should be made directly with the Hyatt Regency Houston. Their reservation department will be happy to answer questions concerning your stay at the hotel, make sure to mention you're coming for the AMSA Annual Convention. AMSA's special rate for the Hyatt Regency Houston is $135 (plus 17% tax*) per room, per night. This is a flat rate for single, double, triple or quad occupancy. Request the type of room you want when making your reservation. If you prefer a room with two double beds, you must request such a room and provide four names to each room you reserve. The hotel may charge an additional fee for more than four adults to a room if you provide this information. Roll-away beds are available for an additional charge of $20 per stay.

When calling ATC or the airlines, the important points are:
Hyatt Regency Houston in Downtown Houston, Texas is the official hotel for the AMSA Convention. George Bush Intercontinental Airport is approximately 26 miles north of the hotel and William P. Hobby Airport is approximately 12 miles south of the hotel.
Remember to consider costs and travel times when you choose your method of transportation. Local chapters also organize car pools to the convention site. Contact your regional trustee if you have any problems identifying an appropriate mode of transportation.
SuperShuttle provides shuttle service to and from George Bush Intercontinental Airport and William P. Hobby Airports.
From George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH)
The shuttle runs 24 hours a day. The cost for a one-way ticket is $23.00/per person*. Once you have claimed your luggage, proceed to one of the SuperShuttle ticket counters, which are located at terminals A, B, C & D at the lower level baggage claim areas. Advance reservation are not required but can be made by calling 1-800-BLUE VAN (258-3826) or online at www.supershuttle.com. It is recommended that large groups make their departure reservations in advance.
From William P. Hobby Airports (HOU)
The shuttle runs 24 hours a day. The cost for a one-way ticket is $19/per person*. Once you have claimed your luggage, proceed to the SuperShuttle ticket counter which is located inside the baggage claim area on the lower level. Advance reservations are not required but can be made by calling 1-800-BLUE VAN (258-3826) or online at www.supershuttle.com. It is recommended that large groups make their departure reservations in advance.
Advance reservations are required for the return shuttle for both IAH and HOU. Please note, if you have more than two checked bags and one carry-on, if your luggage exceeds 50 pounds or if you will be carrying large objects, extra fees may be applicable.
SuperShuttle offers AMSA members a discount. If you use the discount code NCS32 (all caps) when making your reservation, AMSA members will save $2 each way. A one-way ticket from IAH would be $21* and $17* from HOU.

Taxi
Taxi cabs are also available. The approximate cost for a one-way
trip from IAH is $40* and $20* from HOU.
The hotel does not have its own parking areas. The closest parking facility to the hotel is the Regency SW Garage located at 611 Clay Street. This garage is connected with an enclosed walkway. The maximum charge is $16/day* with no in and out privileges. The Hyatt Regency Houston does offer valet services for a charge of $25/day* with unlimited in and out access. All vehicles over 9' should park in the self-parking lot.
