AMSA's special rate for the Hyatt Regency Houston is $135 (plus 17% tax*) per room, per night. This is a flat rate for single, double, triple or quad occupancy. Request the type of room you want when making your reservation. If you prefer a room with two double beds, you must request such a room and provide four names to each room you reserve. The hotel may charge an additional fee for more than four adults to a room if you provide this information. Roll-away beds are available for an additional charge of $20 per stay.

IMPORTANT NOTE: All reservations must be made by February 18, 2008 to obtain the convention room rate. Even though AMSA has reserved a large block of rooms, it's best to make your reservation as soon as possible. Once this block of rooms is sold out, rooms may sell for a higher price regardless if it's prior to February 18. All reservations made after February 18 will be subject to a higher rate on a first-come, first-serve basis while rooms are available. When making room reservations, you will be required to provide a credit card number and a first night's room deposit. If you need to cancel a room reservation, make sure you do so 72-hours prior to the day of your arrival or you will be charged for the room.

Check-in time is 3:00 pm, and check-out time is 11:00 am. The hotel does offer a baggage storage area on a complimentary basis for early and late departures. Special requests for suites, adjoining rooms, etc. will be honored whenever possible.

The Hyatt Regency Houston and the AMSA national office are unable to match you with roommates. It is your responsibility to work through your chapter/regional trustee to identify people to share a room. You can also take advantage of AMSA's online housing directory. Post your request for a roommate or let other's know you have space available in your room. If you have trouble working through these avenues, please email or call the AMSA national office.
