- Prepare for Annual Convention - begin fundraising to get your members there
- Begin making travel & hotel arrangements for convention

February
- Deadline to pre-register for Annual Convention (Feb. 12)
- Deadline to pre-register delegates for HOD (Feb. 15)
- Deadline to book hotel room at convention rate - first come, first serve (Feb. 18)
- Chapters and Delegates receive resolutions
- Chapters and Delegates receive candidate names
- Chapter meets to discuss resolutions and candidates
- Get ready to attend the ANNUAL CONVENTION
March
- Annual Convention
- Elect New National Officers/Regional Trustees (Mar. 15)
- Elect new local chapter officers. The new chapter President-Elect or one other chapter officer should commit to attend the Chapter Officer Conference in July.
- Transitioning begins between old and new officers
- MATCH
- Organize a membership committee - brainstorm for activity ideas, create rough outline for upcoming year
April
- Contact Regional, Premedical or International Trustee with new local chapter officers and contact information
- Contact the national office with new chapter officers and contact information (necessary to receive AMSA monthly mailings)
- Transfer chapter materials (bank account; names, addresses; etc.)
- Hold a local chapter meeting to introduce new leaders, discuss rough outline for coming year, fill any unfilled leadership positions
- Meet with your Dean to discuss financial support for you and your chapter throughout the year. Discuss financial support for the registration and travel to the Chapter Officer Conference.

- Regional Fall Conference Coordinators training
May
- Select Chapter Officers Conference (COC) attendee and notify the national office
- Mail recruitment order form to the national office or submit online
- Begin preparing local chapter/recruitment letter
- Inform national office of any address changes 1-800-767-2266 or submit online
June
- COC Pre-registration deadline - REGISTER BY JUNE 18
- Deadline for ordering recruitment materials - ORDER BY JUNE 30
- Mail local chapter welcome/recruitment letter to incoming freshmen with 1st year orientation letter
- Chapter goals developed - you will receive this at the COC, also available online (select your school from the drop down menu and your chapter's goal will be found on the right side bar)
July
- Check for recruitment shipment
- Chapter Officers Conference
- Summer Recruitment
- Start to consider and organize local project and fundraising ideas
- Inform national office of Residency Fairs in your area
August
- Recruitment mailings from the national office
- Contact Director of Student Programming for Action Committee projects information
- Orientation and local chapter recruitment
- Think 50/70+ and Chapter Rebates $$$ (Dec. 31 cut-off)
- Local Project Grants Cycle I deadline - August 20
- Work with National to request a chapter visit by a National Officer or submit your request online
September
- Publicity/fundraising for local and regional AMSA events
- Attend Regional Fall Conferences
- Attend Residency Fairs
- Begin local projects - document everything!
- Push 50/70+ and Chapter Rebates $$$ (Dec. 31 cut-off)
