Sam is a third-year medical student at the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine (ACOM). Last year, he served as a Pre-Doctoral Anatomy and Osteopathic Principles and Practice Teaching Fellow at ACOM, as well as a Medical Regional Director for Region Three in AMSA. He graduated cum laude from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, and is currently working on a Master of Science in Adult Education with a concentration in Curriculum and Instructional Design from Troy University.
Sam is honored to serve on AMSA’s Board of Trustees as the Vice President for Leadership Development, and is looking forward to an exciting and productive year. He began his journey with AMSA in 2010 as a pre-medical student at the University of Florida. He is grateful for how much AMSA has helped him develop professionally, and hopes to help others do the same. Before matriculating into medical school, Sam worked as an emergency room scribe in Central Florida. In his spare time, you can find Sam enjoying music, photography, videography, hiking, or playing golf!
