By training the next generation of physician leaders, AMSA is transforming the face of medicine. The 2013 Chapter Success Paul R. Wright Award will recognize six (6) chapters that support AMSA’s mission and are dedicated to inspiring future physician leaders, whether through local events, programming activities, leadership development initiatives, or calls for action.

The emphasis of the 2013 award is chapter commitment to building strength in numbers by increasing awareness and involvement in their chapter through inventive recruitment endeavors. Chapters will be assessed on the quality and creativity of programs at the local level as well as the percentage of members recruited. To reflect the diversity of AMSA chapters across the country, and around the world, this year’s award will have multiple chapter recipients, awarding small and large; premedical, medical and international chapters.

Named for AMSA Executive Director Emeritus Paul R. Wright, the winners of the award will be presented at AMSA’s National Convention in Washington, DC March 14-17, 2013.

Prize

• Winning chapters will receive five free registrations to AMSA’s 63rd Annual Convention and Exposition.
