STEPS TO WRITING YOUR RESOLUTION

1. Read the Resolutions General Information Page for a clear understanding of how AMSA policy is made. 

2. Consult AMSA’s Constitution, Bylaws & Internal Affairs (CBIA) and/or AMSA’s Preamble, Purposes and Principles (PPP) depending on the type of resolution you would like to propose. The CBIA outlines AMSA’s internal structure. The PPP outlines AMSA’s policy positions on a variety of issues.

3. Draft your resolution. Submit resolution using the form below.

After submitting your resolution, you should receive confirmation of receipt within 72 hrs. If you have not received confirmation, please email Nida Degesys at vpia@amsa.org and Matt Hilferty at mhilferty@amsa.org.

All resolutions will be posted on the AMSA HOD website by February 16, 2013.

All resolutions will be considered by the HOD on Saturday, March 16, 2013 during the afternoon business sessions. Although resolution authors and coauthors do not need to be present, they are strongly encouraged to be present to serve as a resource during HOD deliberations and to participate in the HOD debate.
