Chapter Success / Paul R. Wright Award
By training the next generation of physician leaders, AMSA is transforming the face of medicine. The Chapter Success Paul R. Wright Award will recognize six chapters that support AMSA’s mission and are dedicated to inspiring future physician leaders, whether through local events, programming activities, leadership development initiatives, or calls for action.
Chapter Programming Award
Here's your chance to highlight your chapter's programming. We want to know what students at your school are doing to enhance their medical education, serve the community, recruit, rally or fund raise.
Women Leaders in Medicine Award
The Women Leaders in Medicine (WLIM) awards were created by AMSA in 2007 to recognize women physicians and educators who are changing the face of medicine through their lives, their professions, or their teaching. These women deserve recognition for their accomplishments and dedication to fostering tomorrow’s women leaders in medicine.
National Golden Apple Excellence in Teaching Award
AMSA’s National Golden Apple Award for Teaching Excellence recognizes the contributions of a medical school professor who has made a significant impact on medical students’ education.
AMSA/GLMA LGBT Health Achievement Award
The Gay and Lesbian Medical Association (GLMA) and the American Medical Student Association (AMSA) established the LGBT Health Achievement Award in 1999 to recognize a medical school, student group, or individual student for exemplary achievement in advocating the inclusion of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) health issues or concerns within their medical school and medical centers.
The James Slayton National Award for Leadership Excellence is named in honor of an exemplary former AMSA National President and AMSA Foundation President. It recognizes AMSA members whose exemplary achievement in leadership and management foster the development of exceptionally inspiring physician leaders.
