Kate is a third year student at the University f Kentucky College of Medicine. She received her bachelors degree with a double major in biology and art from Earlham College in Richmond Indiana. Prior to medical school, Kate worked as an assistant English teacher in Morioka, Japan, and as a research assistant in several neuroscience laboratories in her hometown of Lexington, Kentucky and at the University of California, San Diego. Before becoming Student Editor, Kate worked with AMSA first as a chapter officer at UK, and later as Regional Director.
When not studying and working on Match, Kate enjoys traveling, sewing, and writing for local papers.
