AMSA National Book Discussion Webinars
AMSA National Book Discussion Webinars present exemplars, who enable empathic care in the practice of medicine and offer meaningful stories from their experiences, imaginations and mindsets. Ultimately, these stories provide practical and valuable lessons in the intersections of illness, disease, cure healing for clinicians, practitioners, patients, teachers, and students. A diverse group of physicians discuss their books, writing pursuits, work experiencesand lives. This is an opportunity to listen in on their storytelling to inform your understanding in the making of physicians as lessons in patient-physician relationships and communication, professionalism, bioethical competenceand health policy can be explored during these webinar sessions Futhermore, themes of physician advocacy andactivism also emerge, which have been described as the forth dimension of medicine after patient care, research andteaching.
